A Letter from the Owners
I’m Billie Jo
A lifelong Alaskan, married to my high school sweetheart, mom of three, and the proud NEW owner of The Salt Cave of Alaska. Before becoming the owner, I was a customer just like many of you. In fact, when the cave first opened, my family and I were among the very first to step inside — and we instantly loved it!
On our very first visit, we brought our kids, and after a little playtime in the salt, something incredible happened — all three of our kids took a nap. Trust me, naps don’t come easy in our house, but there’s something about the peaceful salt cave that just works its magic.
Our second visit was even more eye-opening. We were just starting to come down with colds, and instead of weeks of sniffles and slow recovery, our family bounced back in just a few days. The real magic? Those tiny salt particles cleaning the air and our lungs. We became true believers!
When the chance came to become the new owners, we said yes — because we wanted to share this incredible space with our whole community and teach our kids about business and serving others first-hand. You’ll probably see our kids helping out around the cave or at community events!
Since taking over, we’ve been hard at work elevating your experience — from new services, and classes, to a remodeled retail space, adding hand-selected products & gifts, and offering packages & memberships.
I’ve been a dental hygienist here in Alaska for 15 years, so wellness and helping others have always been a passion. My husband, Josh, is my sidekick — he’s always behind the scenes and sometimes helping out front, too! He’s also in the wellness world as a neurologically based chiropractor, serving kiddos and families in Palmer at our office, Bee Well Chiropractic.
